Tybee Island Rally Recap - Part 2!

The Tybee Island rally, hosted this year by Tin Can Tourists, that took place last weekend, was too much vintage trailer awesomness to contain in one post! We didn't attend, but saw all sorts of photos from the event, and knew our readers would love to see them too. Victoria Mock was a volunteer at the event, and the official photographer. Below she shares her experience, and amazing photos!

"Tybee Island was the perfect location to host our spring rally. The island welcomed us with open arms and showed us true southern hospitality. The idea of being "On Tybee Time" is a great state of mind and lent to a relaxing and fun filled weekend.

I love attending rallies with this group- it's great to see old friends and meet new ones. The vintage camping community is made up of people from a variety of backgrounds and I am proud to call them friends. Despite the rain, spirits were high all weekend. Not once did I hear a negative word... not even when some campsites quickly became waterfront property during the storm. After the rain cleared, we had a great turnout for the open house. It's always fun to see the community come out to tour our trailers and hear the amazement in their voices as they peak inside. If I had a dollar for every time I was asked "So you really stay in this at night or is it just for looks?", I could fund my camper addiction!" Victoria Mock said. Sound too good to miss? Then you better start making plans now for next year's event- we heard people book their spaces a year in advance! Next year this event will be hosted by Southern Vintage Trailer Friends - find them online here:
