Two Adorable Vintage Campers

Barbara Vengalli started camping with her family in the ‘80s in first a tent, then a pop up, then several different hard side campers through the years. She’s always loved camping, but it took a long time for the glamping bug to bite her. When it did, it bit her hard, and now she has taken her love of decorating and camping and turned it into a hobby business with her husband.

Barbara told us, “One day, about 6 or so years ago, while skimming through Country Victorian magazine, I came across the cutest little vintage camper photo, all gussied up in someone's back yard. I immediately said to my husband..."Look hun, we can do this, too". Although, he looked at me like I was a little bit nutty, he somewhat agreed, and the rest is history! I absolutely love decorating, and my hubby is a jack of all trades. Since that time, we have refurbished 4 vintage campers. The first three campers were decorated in an adorable cottage style theme. Although, the first three have since been sold, I still get to see them occasionally roaming around Facebook on many of the glamper pages.”

Barbara’s love of decorating shows in the attention to details in her campers. The adorable little 1967 Playmor pictured above, had a girly pink cottage theme, with fun vintage accents sprinkled throughout like candies on top of a giant cupcake. You can see how the Playmor feels more like a grown-up play house in the photos below:

This 1971 Shasta Compact shared a similar color scheme to the Playmor, but Barbara added even more whimsical touches this time around with more vintage linens, and adorable serving pieces for a grown up tea party. If these campers don't personify the word "GLAMPING!" we don't know what possibly could.

If you love these two campers, and want to own one of Barbara's glamping creations yourself- you are in luck! Very soon her gypsy themed camper named Bella Vagare will be for sale... but you'll have to wait and see the rest of the photos when it's ready! We'll follow up with a blog post as soon as it's ready to go, but you'll have to be quick- her other vintage campers each sold in less than a day.
